U14s prem<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Kildare 1- 3 Kilcullen\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Goals : Aaron , Ross & Eoin<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Mom : dean\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

2nd game of our maiden season in the Premier div and our 2nd win. After tonight’s round of fixtures we the only team left in our league with 2 wins from 2. Last season tonight’s opposition Kildare town piped us to the major division league title , so was always going to be a tough one.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

We had a very solid first half creating a lot of chances but failing to really test the keeper, not quite finding our range and from close just not finding that killer blow. We’re very dangerous from set pieces and from one of these corners , aaron got the break and smashed home from 8yards . But for all our dominance it just went in 1-0 at half time.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Full credit to Kildare 2nd half it totally changed and they had us on the back foot from the restart, pilling on big pressure and got their result from a shot from distance saved well by Martin but followed in well by their best player on the night ,no6 who’s rebound looped back in over Martin.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

But we totally snapped out of it then and within 3mins restored our lead , from a fantastic free kick from Ross 30yards out into the top right corner, keeper no chance, 2-1, 15 to go.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Our passing game started to make good headway again , and a move started by Ciaran and Alex , to dean and Ross to Eoin who took it past 1 and smashed it over the keeper , fine strike from our power house of a midfielder who has been in fine form so far this year. 3-1 with 10 to go. Both sides had a couple chances each with dean Ross eoin Ben and jack all coming close but 3-1 it stayed.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Dominant performance in midfield \u00a0especially again helped us see the result out even when not at our very best , dean just nicks man of the match award.\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Well done again , up against one of the big guns in Naas AFC on sat .<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
